Monique Klein, a journalist who specializes in environmental education, has always been concerned with our planet and constantly thought of ways to actively pursue initiatives that would advance sustainability. With a great love for fashion, her concern for the environment and the dream to show to the world the beauties of Mato Grosso do Sul, Monique decided to combine all by creating Campo Grande a Tiracolo; a sustainable fashion organization that promotes social change through design and fashion related activities.

Besides conserving nature, Monique Klein is also concerned with the social aspect of the project. By providing to a group of local mothers, who had time available, the appropriate training, they are now able to engage in the manufacture process which not only gives them a sense of empowerment but also much needed financial reward. Monique, alongside this dedicated group of local women, currently operate Campo Grande a Tiracolo which is a trademark exclusively of recycling products with a guiding principle to help improve ecological, economical and social performance.

Campo Grande a Tiracolo manufactures handbags and totes in a process of sustainability utilizing a wide range of recyclable materials suitable for sewing; always considering the environment and the quality of the product. Monique utilizes source materials such as, used mail canvas bags and heavy duty plastic advertisement banners donated by local organizations.

Nothing is discarded everything is transformed!
