Daiana Dumas

Daiana Dumas was born on April 29, 1985 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. At the tender age of 16, Daiana entered various competitions where her Native-Brazilian and African-Brazilian heritage beauty helped her place first many times. Moving to New York at the age of 19, Daiana joined Explorer Model and further pursued her modeling career. In 2006 Daiana became " Miss Brazil Connecticut USA" which gained her the recognition that catapulted her to her status as one of the world's top fashion models.

By using eco-friendly fabrics, pre-existing materials & creatively salvaged fabrics, she breathes new life into fashion otherwise destined for the landfill, after all, the most eco-friendly fabrics are those that already exist. Daiana is committed to creating a shift of consciousness by sourcing all 2nd hand materials locally, using reclaimed clothing materials. She's proud to be a designer who supports her local economy through a business that essentially creates no new waste.  In Daiana words "This is why I not only create clothing, but I hope to teach people skills to reconstruct their own wardrobes and offer personalized wardrobe eco-consultations."
